Many roads lead to Mittenwald.
Take the Munich–Innsbruck train line, for example—one of Europe’s most expensive railway projects around the turn of the 20th century. Today, it offers a scenic journey and brings you directly to the Mittenwald train station (located approximately 800 meters from Landhaus Albrecht).
If you prefer to travel by car, take the A95 highway from Munich to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, then follow the B2 road to Mittenwald.
Long-distance buses follow this exact same route, traveling directly from Munich Airport to Mittenwald on their way to Innsbruck. Once you have arrived by train or long-distance bus, your mobility within the resort area is ensured thanks to the extensive bus network provided by the Alpenwelt Karwendel region.
With the AlpenweltCard, for instance, you can use public bus services operated by Oberbayernbus (RVO) free of charge. This includes the dedicated hiking, ski, and guest buses, as well as the additional bus line serving Lautersee and Ferchensee during the summer months.
